My practice specializes in supporting adults and couples through the ebb and flow of everyday life.
I have worked in the field of psychotherapy- community mental health, residential treatment, hospital mental health triage, parent education, school counseling and private practice- for over 25 years.
I am an intuitive and interested listener. I encourage self reflection, dreamwork, and journaling with my clients. However, come as you are. You will be the most important person in the therapy. I will honor your story and will do my best to walk along side you towards a life that makes sense for you and gives you peace of mind.
I enjoy hiking, camping, gardening and being in the great outdoors. I find nature to be most healing and calming. I am an avid writer and have written in my own personal journals since I was 14 years old. I’ve been a blogger for over 10 years- www.onehipdiva.com- and invite you to visit my blog page on this website for your encouragement and enjoyment as we get to know one another and build community and trust.
I see myself as approachable and easy to work with. Being “60 something” has its’ perks! I’ve been around the block a few time. I’ve personally experienced raising three sons, being married and divorced and losing my parents and one of my five siblings. I am currently in a long term relationship, and I know the ebb and flow of every day life with a partner and the need for personal and psychic space in one’s life. The balance is delicate.
